3/18/02 Foreign investors exploited by international stock manipulators can rely on SageGroup for support

Alameda CA-March 1, 2002-SageGroup Strategies, Inc. announced today the formation of an International Investors Division, whose purpose is to help foreign investors in their fight against stock manipulators, self-serving management, misappropriated investor funds, and other similar serious problems of troubled companies based in the U.S.A.

SageGroup's International Investors Division will assist both: a) foreign-based parent companies of U.S.-based subsidiaries and joint ventures; and b) foreign-based passive investors in U.S.-based public and private companies. These companies are often in deep trouble, having been the victims of stock fraud, deliberate stock dilution, corporate mismanagement, violations of U.S. Federal and State securities laws, and other wrongdoings. Many times, the investors in these companies are not familiar with the laws governing U.S. companies or what legal recourses they may have. Often those who have lost substantial sums of investment capital because of the self-serving, malicious, and criminal acts of others are not aware of how to proceed against the perpetrators. Some of the hesitation may arise because of cultural and language differences.

Larry Lindsey, a Managing Director at SageGroup, noted, "The prevalence of stock fraud and manipulation, misrepresentations, and other abusive actions upon foreign investors is an absolute abhorrence.  These very bad persons and companies take advantage of the differences in language and culture and the foreign investors' limited knowledge of U.S. Securities laws. They prey upon the investors using highly questionable tactics. We want to work with those who have been abused and help them wherever we can."

Previously on February 4, SageGroup Strategies announced the formation of a Small Public Companies Division. The Small Public Companies Division concentrates on small troubled U.S.-based public companies, including helping their investors organize shareholder advocacy groups, advising the actions to take to fight those who deliberately exploit others. SageGroup has quietly represented shareholders in the past. The newly announced International Investors Division will work closely with the Small Public Companies Division whenever appropriate.
