06/26/03 SageGroup Announces a Trade/Barter Division To Help Troubled Companies Nationally and Internationally

New York, NY, and Alameda, CA - June 26, 2003 - SageGroup Strategies, Inc., announces that it has formed a major SGS Trade/Barter Division to help troubled companies obtain urgently-needed trade/barter relationships and transactions. SageGroup is the largest Professional Troubled-Company Specialist firm nationally and internationally, with over 50 offices throughout the United States, plus Beijing, China, plus many U.S. and international relationships.

Trade/barter transactions can greatly benefit troubled companies in many ways, which is especially important in the current difficult business climate. Among other benefits, these transactions can: a) increase sales revenues and customer base; b) reduce cash requirements in purchasing and capital expenses; and c) provide better solutions to such problems as excess production capacity and inventory.

"Almost all troubled companies have an urgent need for trade/barter relationships and transactions, both to survive their troubled stage and to subsequently grow, develop, and/or move forward well," stated Craig Kaufman, a trade/barter expert and one of the three Co-Managers of the SGS Trade/Barter Division. "This new Division will greatly increase SageGroup's trade/barter capabilities for the benefit of its troubled-company clients and their stockholders, management, employees, banks, other creditors, and other involved parties, as well as for the communities in which these companies are based."

Bruce Kamm, another trade/barter strategist and SGS Trade/Barter Division Co-Manager, added, "Trade/barter transactions offer substantial benefits over cash-based transactions. Trade/barter-based spending reduces cash requirements, improves cash flow, eliminates losses and write-downs, and is often a better alternative than cash-based solutions to improve bottom-line profitability. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, American trade/barter alone represents over $650 billion in annual transactions with a large percentage of all American companies participating in some form of trade/barter. SGS clients can be helped through a multitude of trade/barter transactions, including: corporate trade; retail trade exchange; international countertrade; equity trading; alternative capital financing; asset management; media purchasing; and real estate trading. SGS Trade/Barter Division members have many years of trade/barter experience and include experts in all types of trade/barter transactions."

The SGS Trade/Barter Division will be represented in every SageGroup Office nationally. On one hand, it will be available to assist all SGS clients with specialized professional help. Concurrently, the Division will proactively increase and deepen SageGroup's working relationships with many types of trade/barter and trade/barter-related entities.
