09/10/03 SageGroup Strategies Announces an Important European Agreement to Help
American, Central European, and Other Companies
Bratislava, Slovakia; New York, NY; and Alameda, CA, USA - September 10,
2003 - SageGroup Strategies, Inc. announces that it has signed an important
strategic-alliance agreement with an established European firm to help
American, European, and other untroubled and troubled companies. The
September 10, 2003 Overall Agreement was signed concurrently in Bratislava,
the Slovak Republic, and in the USA by SageGroup Strategies, Inc. and Toldy
Brothers, Ltd. (TB), a business and financial services firm.
TB provides a wide variety of business and financial services to American,
European, and other companies. It is based in Bratislava, capital of the
Slovak Republic, also called "Slovakia".
An "investor's paradise," is what Steve Forbes has recently called the
Slovak Republic. It's "the world's next Hong Kong or Ireland," he says,
"i.e, a small place that's an economic powerhouse." Tiny Slovakia, about
half the size of Pennsylvania, is perfectly positioned for TB to help
American, European, and other companies to cash in on the growing economy
and market of Central Europe. Slovakia is scheduled to join the European
Union May 1, 2004. (Mr. Forbes made these and other positive comments
in his recent article about Slovakia entitled "Investors' Paradise" that
appeared on page 21 of the August 11, 2003 issue of Forbes Magazine.)
TB's central location within Europe is a major plus for its market success.
Bratislava is located only forty miles from Vienna, Austria, and Slovakia is
within one day's drive of 350 million Europeans. TB operates throughout all
Central European countries, which include the Czech Republic, Poland,
Hungary, Austria, and, of course, Slovakia.
TB's services include:
1) Consultative services on marketing, import/export of goods and
technologies, trade and corporate financing, legal issues, accounting
services, and related areas;
2) Helping foreign companies to establish new plants, branches, or
subsidiaries in Central Europe;
3) Assisting in market research for product and business development;
4) Arranging site visits to factories, exhibitions, industrial parks, and
other places of business interest;
5) Meeting its clients' other needs in addressing the various European
environments and their business, governmental, legal, social, and other
aspects;
6) Representing American-based companies in the local markets; and
7) Providing liaison between American and Central European firms.
TB's headquarters is located at Matejkova Street 18, Bratislava. Its
mailing address is: Toldy Brothers, P.O. Box 1, 840 04 Bratislava,
Slovak Republic; phone number is: +421-903-464-432; fax number
is +421-265-312-131; contact person is Sonya Kramplova.
The TB/SGS Overall Agreement is purposefully very broad in scope. It allows
not only for referring and working jointly on client situations, but also
for TB and SGS to structure and implement other mutually-beneficial
arrangements. TB and SGS expect to work closely with Europe-based and
USA-based troubled companies, helping them to get out of trouble, to grow,
and to develop. These activities shall be coordinated through SGS's Europe
Division.
SGS's Europe Division will work with TB in multiple ways, including simple
introductions. The SGS focus is on complex situations, including troubled
companies, American companies trying to do business in Europe, and European
companies trying to do business in the USA. TB, on the other hand, will
focus on introducing American companies to the Central European market,
directly helping troubled and untroubled American firms already situated in
Central Europe, and helping indigenous Central European firms expand their
interests and export markets in America.
SageGroup provides troubled Europe-related companies with its powerful large
group of professionals, who are experts at helping troubled companies get
out of trouble and move forward. SageGroup's staff includes over 600
highly-qualified specialists, such as: Europe specialists; international
business experts; global sourcing specialists; financing and financial
experts; troubled-company experts; turnaround experts; marketing
specialists; CPAs; attorneys; strategists; joint ventures, mergers, and
acquisitions experts; technologists; corporate executives; industry
specialists; and others. SageGroup's staff has been involved in hundreds of
difficult company situations, including: European business situations,
global sourcing projects, international expansions, refinancings,
turnarounds, crisis management, debtor programs, spin-outs, restructurings
and reorganizations, and managed wind-downs and shut-downs.
SGS's main Europe Division contact in the Eastern USA is Manny Kyriannis at
the SGS New York City Office in Manhattan at 419 Park Avenue South, Suite
509, NY, NY 10016, phone number (212) 251-0082. Most troubled companies
are in very sensitive, complex, and confidential situations. Accordingly,
for maximum confidentiality and effectiveness, all initial inquiries from
troubled companies can also be directed to Larry Lindsey, SGS Managing
